I also custom design and fabricate molded leather sheaths from 100% premium Live Oak brand 8-9 oz. cowhide tooling leather. Each leather layer is glued with Barge All Purpose Leather Cement (used by cobblers for eons) and hand-stitched using pure Barbours Irish flax linen 5-chord thread using the time-honored two needle "saddle stitch" method. The thread is hand waxed using a mixture of pure beeswax and pine pitch.
Finally each sheath has an application of 2-3 coats of Fiebings Leather Balm with Atom Wax followed by a coat of Fiebings Leather Sheen; a flexible wax finish waterproofing. Each knife and sheath is a one-of-a-kind, crafted to last a lifetime. I also do custom knives and custom leather sheaths for existing knives. Interested? Check our Customs page.
