Examples of exotic and American wood slabs (we call them scales) currently in our shop awaiting to be cut to size and fitted to knives. These could be selected by a customer for application to one of our standard blade blanks and finished into a truly custom knife.

Several pictures show a coloration mottling due to diffuse sunlight which is not part of the wood. It is difficult to get accurate pictures of the true coloration, which appears differently depending upon lighting conditions (incandesent vs. flouresent vs. natural). I strive to portray the color as natural as possible. These scales have had nothing applied to enhance the appearance. We will be expanding this section to show examples of Bloodwood, Purpleheart, Teak, Sycamore Lace, Maple Burl, Catalox, Ziricote, and Bocote.
